Belize Mermaid Retreat 2018

Join the Sirenalia Mermaids February 15-20th for our annual five-day exotic Mermaid getaway! This trip is an all-inclusive retreat on a remote Caribbean island, featuring your very own underwater photoshoot alongside beautiful marine life, and passing the time with other activities including Mermaid yoga, swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling with the rich sea life of the Belizean Barrier Reef.

Every Mermaid will have their photo taken by world renowned underwater photographer Brett Stanley, and will get a gallery of photos to bring back to the real world to share with family & friends.

Because we believe Mermaids have a duty to protect this planet, a portion of all proceeds will benefit The Ocean Academy, a subsidized local secondary school which helps bring higher education to Belizean children on nearby islands who would otherwise be unable to finish school.

The price of your ticket includes a private, chartered flight from Belize City to the coast, all Mermaid activities, photoshoots, hotel, transportation, and all of your meals -- everything except your international airfare. Space is extremely limited and we will sell out, so reserve your spot now!

Ticket Includes:

• Transportation to and from the airport once you land in Belize City, including a private flight

• An underwater photo shoot with Brett Stanley
  

• Use of a full silicone Sirenalia Mermaid Tail during your individual photo session

• Hotel accommodations on Tobacco Caye

• Three healthy, home-cooked meals per day

• Unlimited use of kayaks and snorkeling gear (snorkels/flippers/masks/life vests)

• Mermaid-centric yoga from a certified instructor (who is also a professional Mermaid!)

Transportation: Due to the remoteness of the island that we are visiting, you must travel with our group from the Belize City airport to the final destination. We will meet at the Belize City airport and take a private plane to a small port town. From there we will catch a boat to Tobacco Caye.

Photoshoot: Each Mermaid will receive an underwater photo session and three edited photos, as well as a downloadable album documenting the retreat.

Destination: Tobacco Caye is a tiny Belize island surrounded by a marine reserve. It is approximately three acres in area and shaped like an egg. It has a permanent population of about 20 and sees a regular stream of travelers thanks to the four small lodges on the island.

Flights: You are responsible for your flights to and from Belize.

• Arriving flights must land in Belize City by 2:30 p.m. CST local time on Thursday, February 15.

• Departing flights must be booked for Tuesday February 20th after 1 p.m. CST on to allow for travel time from Tobacco Caye into Belize City

Accommodations: Since the island is small, so are the hotels. Please be prepared to share a room, and we will do our best to pair everyone with their friends. You have the option to upgrade to your own room for an additional fee.

Food: Home cooked traditional Belizean cuisine! We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions! Please give us notice ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. There is also a small convenience store that sells snacks and fried chicken (it accepts both American and Belizean currency).

Help us give back: We are excited to continue our partnership with the Ocean Academy in Belize. The Ocean Academy is the only high school on nearby Caye Caulker and provides a free environment-based education to the kids on the island. A portion of the proceeds from this retreat will be donated to the school.
